Työntekijä puhdistamassa Scanian kuorma-auton logoa.


Ruotsalainen kuorma-autovalmistaja Scania ja saksalainen MAN ovat ilmoittaneet mahdollisesta yhdistymisestä.

Kummallakin yhtiöllä on linkkejä Volkswagen-autovalmistajaan.

For some time Scania and MAN have investigated different projects in the industrial area, mainly related to the commercial vehicles, which would make it possible for the two companies to profit from synergies in research and development, manufacturing and sourcing.

This process has shown that a full realisation of potential synergies requires a closer cooperation by combining the two companies, while maintaining the unique brand values of the respective company.

At this stage no decision has been taken, as there are a number of outstanding issues of commercial and legal nature. A decision can be made only when these issues have been resolved.

Scania will not comment on the subject while the discussion is still ongoing. Further announcements will be made when appropriate.

Regarding the ongoing press speculations on a possible combination between MAN SE and Scania AB, MAN SE comments as follows:



“It is well known, that MAN and Scania are seeking a closer industrial cooperation in order to realize considerable synergy opportunities. Both companies are in discussions in this regard.



Both parties are focused on creating value for their shareholders and other stakeholders and are pursuing this with mutually friendly intentions. At the same time, both sides are committed to maintaining the operating businesses and the unique brand values of the respective companies. This would be the basis for any possible option pursued by MAN.



At this early stage of the discussions, the outcome is still open and no decisions have been taken.”

Eihän tähän asti oo voinu ees verrata Scaniaa ja Mannia....No ehkä toi on sit man:in pelastus.. Kai.. Mut yllättävä veto minun mielestä. Kai ne alkaa sit kuorma autotkin yhdistellä toisten merkkejä.

Volkswagen tekee ostotarjouksen MANista

Volkswagen on tehnyt ostotarjouksen saksalaisesta kuorma-autonvalmistaja MANista. Uutistoimisto Bloombergin mukaan Volkswagen tarjoaa 95 euroa/MANin osake.

Volkswagen omistaa MANista tällä hetkellä 30 prosenttia.

Volkswagen yritti viime marraskuussa fuusioida MANin ja ruotsalaisen Scanian. Järjestely olisi nostanut Volkswagenin maailman suurimmaksi autonvalmistajaksi.
