2003 Golf GTI 1.8T 20V AUM check engine light

Hi,

Sorry for the post in English.

Recently bought a 2003 GTI and a few days ago the "Check engine" light came on. Car drives fine, pulls very strong but does vibrate a little bit at stationary revs. Is there anybody in Helsinki/Vantaa region who could do a diagnostics check?

First thing to do is to check engine fault codes (DTC). This can be accomplished with VAG-Com/VCDS software or by going to any service center or shop. Also Motonet has service called Motomaatti, they can read the fault codes. After that we will be wiser.

For anybody who's interested, it was a torn hose on the turbo causing some airleak. Leak has now been repaired and car is running better than ever.
